about
Lupie Lup
Lupie Lup ( Andrea Zarate Pardo) was Born and raised in Bogota, Colombia where she studied Graphic Design. After pursuing her goal of working in a well-renowned advertising agency, She realised she wanted to be more involved with people and decided to start a career in education. She obtained my M.A.Ed from the National University of Colombia, was later awarded a M.A in Illustration with distinction from the University of Hertfordshire, UK, and also undertook a Postgraduate Certificate in International Education with Bath University, UK.
One of the reasons why she loves teaching is being able to connect and learn from her students at a human level. Yet, her own artistic practice had become something private and intimate for many years. When starting the M.A in Illustration she started questioning what it means to be human and what it means to be a woman.
Her work became an exploration into the self and realised that although inspired by individual occurrences, her questions could relate to someone else’s questions. In 2020 she started the process of letting her work into the world. She is learning about vulnerability, courage, letting go and opening up. She is acknowledging the power that comes from sharing.
